The availability of a skilled workforce is crucial to business activity. Having workers with the right skills enables businesses to start, to grow and to compete. Developing people’s skills is crucial in order to promote access to employment, improve the quality of work, and provide employers with workers equipped to meet the demands of changing technologies and markets.
Employability Skills Development
The Employability Skills Development course takes an activity-based approach to raise our candidates awareness about employer expectations and the working environment. Developed in response to an increasing national focus on work-related learning, it will meet the needs of providers looking for a programme of activities to support candidates in preparation for vocational training, for achieving an employability qualification, or for getting a job.
Why choose us?
Prime2Learn is an independent organisation and is not an agency, this lets us work in a way that is beneficial to our trainees. We spend more time with our candidates, giving individual attention and matching the learning pace of every trainee. While any training centre can promise this, they are more likely to be under the pressure of agency procedures to get through with the training faster in order to accommodate more batches and this is an approach that we absolutely do not prescribe to.
Providing professional service with a personal approach
Apart from simply having a trainer-trainee dynamic, we like to build a strong relationship with our candidates. It is easier to impart knowledge and transfer ideas in a situation where there is trust among people and that is exactly what we strive to do. If one or more of the candidates have trouble with their learning, or if they have a different learning curve than the others, individual attention will be given on a personal level to them. We ensure that at the end of the course, they are as industry-ready as their mates sharing their sessions. Our candidates come from different backgrounds and from different areas in and around Midlands from the Jobcentre Plus, as well as from independent referrals.
We have training centres based in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. However, we are able to deliver training courses on site, or at a specific training venue as required.
Where possible we can offer advice and support regarding transport to and from the training venue for the duration of the course. Please ask for details.
All of our training venues provide toilet facilities, refreshments and adapted learning equipment if required.
Our courses run Tuesday to Thursday and we aim to deliver the course in ‘school friendly’ hours whenever possible to assist parents.
