Springboard is a development course aimed specifically at helping people who are further away from the workplace and those returning to work from a long absence, challenging circumstances, move further towards employment and to improve confidence.
The course contents are designed to give a more supportive approach to finding employment and has a 4 Week Course Duration – (Tuesday to Thursday) with school friendly hours where possible.
We offer an inclusive and patient learning environment with a range of support tools to assist learners of all abilities, including dyslexia, Irlen’s Syndrome and other learning challenges.
All teaching is delivered at Entry Level 3—so there is no pressure to be Einstein—just learning at a comfortable pace
The course is also designed to help support with improving social skills, growing confidence as well as job-specific training
Learners completing the course receive a recognised AIM awards Accredited Qualification.

Course Aims & Objectives
- To create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- To grow confidence at the learners pace
- To inspire individuals and install a sense of empowerment with their employment journey
- To motivate learners and help them to identify and manage their barriers and restrictions
- To support individuals with identifying their long term goals and ambitions – both professionally and personally
- To assist learners in achieving a deeper understanding of their own perceptions and attitudes towards working, social contribution and personal well being.
Our Employability Skills course has been designed for those that are unemployed and in need of the necessary skills to find a job, apply for a job and more importantly get the job!
Finding work can be challenging and somewhat daunting, especially when you consider how many other people are applying for the same job as you. It is vital that you stand out from the crowd and understand the various hurdles you will have to overcome before even getting to the interview stage. While there will always be job-specific skills that an employer is looking for, most employers will also want you to have some general skills. These general job skills are sometimes called “employability skills”.

Course Entry Criteria
If you’re unemployed/ working less than 16 hours a week, over 19 years old and not currently enrolled on a Training Course*
Resident in the UK/EU for more than 3 years.
In receipt of JSA, ESA, U/Credit or unemployed.
Able to speak, read and write English.
Able to commit to the 4 weeks course duration.
